MahaRERA Reverts to Old Website as MahaCRITI Faces Technical Glitches
By RERA Vision / October 10, 2024
In a move to address user concerns, MahaRERA has temporarily reverted to its old website following technical issues with the newly launched MahaCRITI platform. The MahaCRITI system, introduced on August 31, 2024, promised advanced features and faster processing for real estate developers, homebuyers, and other stakeholders. However, users soon reported significant delays and difficulties in accessing services, creating frustration and delays in registrations and updates.
Challenges with MahaCRITI
The technical problems with MahaCRITI affected users across the board. Developers and homebuyers, who rely heavily on the platform for essential services like project registration, RERA compliance updates, and complaint management, faced considerable delays. MahaRERA, which handles vast amounts of data and processes for real estate stakeholders, acknowledged these issues and worked to find a solution.
The MahaCRITI platform, designed to streamline operations, aimed at making the process faster and more efficient by incorporating new technologies. However, the volume of transactions and data proved to be too much for the new system to handle effectively during its initial rollout, leaving many users unable to perform necessary actions within the expected timeframe.
Temporary Reversion to the Old Website
As a solution, MahaRERA decided to revert to its previous website, managed by MahaIT, starting from October 5, 2024. The decision to bring back the old system is temporary but necessary to avoid further disruptions, especially with the festive season approaching. Many developers depend on the smooth functioning of MahaRERA’s services for project timelines, sales, and legal compliances, making a functional system crucial for their operations.
MahaRERA has ensured users that they are actively working to fix the issues with the MahaCRITI platform and plan to reintroduce it once the technical challenges have been resolved. The authority also stated that the move to the old system would allow for uninterrupted services during this interim period.
